THERAPY ROOM NEWS  A closer look on Craniosacral Therapy by Jo Llewellyn

Craniosacral What??

Behind the tongue twister of a name craniosacral therapy or ‘Cranio’ for short is a lovely gentle form of body work which has the ability to transform your health and well being. Its suitable for adults, children and babies. People may come for Cranio because they have an acute physical problem like migraines or a bad back or long standing problems both physical and emotional. Others come for ongoing support in their busy lives and for help to meet life’s challenges. A treatment will last between 45-60 mins long and as you lie fully clothed under a blanket the therapist will make very light contact with your body. Cranio supports the functions of all the bodies systems. After a treatment patients experience a sense of contentment and deep relaxation and feel as if they have been ‘put back’ together again. Something which we call craniosacral integration. How can Cranio help you? Cranio helps conditions such as:

  • Stress, anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress disorder
  • Poor sleep, insomnia and fatigue
  • Neck and back pain
  • Headaches, migraine, jaw pain, sinusitis and tinnitus
  • Fertility and during pregnancy
  • Anxious babies, reflux, colic and feeding problems
  • ADHD, autism and sensory processing issues
  • Childhood behavioural issues

If you’d like to know more message Jo via her website, or book a session at our therapy room on Tuesday evenings. www.craniojo.com
