Hey Yogis, we hope you are all keeping well and healthy.
We can’t believe it’s week 3 already of our online Yoga House offering. We are really hoping that you’re enjoying these sessions and that they are serving you well, and more than just being a physical exercise and distraction from the everyday routine.
Yoga, meditation and sound can truly be healing and transformational, and our intention is to keep serving and helping our community to stay positive and grounded as much as possible.
We love seeing your faces on the little online squares and we love reading all your messages of encouragement – it truly keeps us going. Please reach out as always if you want to chat to us or have any ideas or feedback, we are implementing your ideas and feedback from our last message so it’s great we are all working together to build a timetable for all.

Additional online offering
We are going to upload pre recorded guided meditation and alchemy bowl sound sessions onto our website over the next few days so you can download the pre recorded sessions and watch at a time convenient for you.
Once these get uploaded, they will be free for our members to use, and at a small charge for everyone else. We’ve been testing the sound meditation classes and they are truly beautiful to listen to when all is calm at home, with a nice cup of tea spending time relaxing for yourself.
Additionally we are partnering up with our friend and PT Henry Pinkrah from BASE 13 to run weekly CHARITY 45min HIIT and Yoga sessions. We’ve set up Just Giving Fund to raise money for NHS Charitable fund to support NHS staff right now.
Henry will be offering 45min HIIT sessions on Tuesdays 7pm and we will do weekly Yoga class with various teachers. Please keep an eye on our timetable for Yoga and go directly to BASE 13 for HIIT.
And here’s the link to our fund which you can pay into when you take a class. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/base13yogahouselondonnhs

Welcome scents into your home
We live through our senses.
Smell is a very powerful sense and can help us find balance in the times of heighten stress and anxiety. Currently we are spending much more time in our homes, and we can take this as an opportunity to fall in love with our spaces again. Adding soothing or energising scents in a form of essential oils or natural candles can transform the place we now use for work, exercise, dining and relaxing.
Here is a selection of some of our favourites to give you a little inspiration.
Essential oils – go for something high quality and grade to make sure you’re not adding any harmful chemicals into your environment. For grounding try Vetiver, for relaxation lavender, to boost energy any citrusy blends, Rosemary or Eucalyptus to cleanse your space. You can find some lovely single ingredient oils or oil blends from Neal’s Yard online, or if you know a doTERRA distributor reach out to them for their amazing oils.
Use your oils in your bath or diffusers. https://www.nealsyardremedies.com/aromatherapy/aromatherapy-oils-and-blends/essential-oils/2155.html
Natural candles – the current favourite is by London based producer Oh James, his candles are not only natural, but also have as low an environmental impact as possible.
For a gorgeous, fresh, Spring awakening scent try his – IN THE GARDEN. https://ohjames.co.uk/products/in-the-garden
Palo Santo sticks or spray – we absolutely love the smell of Palo and have been regular burning it at the studio. It has a very calming, grounding and sweet scent and is believed to protect the space you burn it in. Palo Santo translates to Holy Wood. If you are going to purchase the actual stick, make sure you buy them from a responsibly sourced place. The ones we use at the studio come from the branches that had naturally fallen down from the trees. There is also a lovely Palo Santo spray by Ume Collection https://www.ume-collection.co.uk/shop-incense/palo-santo-atmosphere-mist
We hope some of these bring you a little bit of Yoga House experience into your home making it into your own sanctuary.
