On March 20th we celebrate the arrival of the Spring Equinox 🌱 We have three wonderful workshops planned, each offering a different way to welcome new energy the Equinox brings. 


The Spring Equinox is a joyful holiday centered around rebirth & growth. It is the arrival of spring! The Earth is coming alive again.

The dark months are now over and we’ are moving into the warmth of the light. (The sun will continue to grow until the Summer Solstice, when it begins its turn inward again.)

With the Spring Equinox your spirit is waking up with new ideas & new dreams for your life. It’s fresh, warm energy has the power to make you feel alive & inspired. During the Spring Equinox, the Earth returns to a place of perfect balance. Day & night are equal as is the light & the dark – bringing the return of some much-needed balance into your own life.

We welcome Lizzy back to Catford after her magical Winter Solstice Session in December. Bathe in the therapeutic sounds of crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes and other magical instruments as we welcome the Spring Equinox.

We are all vibrational beings. Every cell in the human body oscillates and vibrates at its own unique frequency. Sometimes, when we suffer from stress, anxiety or trauma, our cells can fall out of vibrational harmony. This can cause blockages and imbalances within the body that can manifest as physical pain, or create a sense of dis-ease.

Sound Sessions uplifts our vibrations back to resonance and encourages our brainwaves into deeper meditative states.
The rest & digest response within our nervous system gets activated which means our body can repair, recharge and rebalance. 

This session will help give you the rest you require to step into Spring, birth your intentions and flourish in the returned light.

Alex & Lyida  invite you to join them for two hours of physical movement.
The afternoon will explore sixty minutes of Pilates & sixty minutes of Yoga.
They aim to stretch, explore & nourish the body with generous movement. Marrying these two practices together will allow you the opportunity to build strength in the smaller stabilizing muscles of the body through Pilates mat work before moving into larger more expansive Yoga poses.
Alex & Lydia have found through their own movement practice that the combination of Yoga & Pilates together helps with maintaining a healthy, strong & stable Yoga Practice. Keeping the body supple & stable through differing practices of movement is so imperative for seeing longevity in your practice. We need it to be able to work well in an active range of movement before we can work deep into our passive range. This incorporates the mobility and range we see not only in the forward/backward plan of movement but side to side & in rotation. 
In the session, Alex & Lydia aim to show you through two hours of physical practice how you can awaken and strengthen the body with the practice of Pilates and how in turn that movement language will prepare you for your Yoga Practice. It will also be an incredible time to take two hours purely for yourself to explore all the corners of your physical landscape and honour your bodies.

Yoga is always more fun to do together! Bring your child/children to our Family yoga sessions and welcome time for play as Spring Arrives. Rainbow Family yoga teacher Mary Sheppard will guide the way.
Mary will welcome Spring and all its glory – as we tell a Spring story what we see, smell, touch, hear in the Spring and create our own Spring yoga moves through yoga and mindfulness. 
Mary is a former primary school teacher with over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages- nursery, primary, and children with special needs. It was her work with special needs children that guided her to embrace yoga as a tool to support students learning needs.
