This Saturday 27th May 1.45pm – 4.15pm in Catford, Sasha returns to Yoga House to teach the second in her series of seasonal Yin Yoga workshops.
Drawing from the Chinese medicine model, these workshops will be based on the Five Elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water and the associated Five seasons (Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn + Winter). Each workshop will be themed around the season and the energy channel of each element. The aim is to offer you tools to support your life energy or (Qi) which circulates through the energy network within your body. This is referred to as the Meridian system.
Summer is a time of connection, playfulness and joy so our practice will be based around the element of Fire. As we move towards the ultimate Yang of mid-summer, we shall nourish the Heart and Small intestine pathways as well as the Heart Meridians ‘helpers’ – the Pericardium and Triple Heater. Regulating our heart energy can help to bring balance and create a calm tranquil Heart.
Summer Yin workshop will include:
✨ Nourishing Yin Class
✨ Qigong for the heart energy
✨ Heart soothing practices
✨ An afternoon of self care
Sasha teaches and has done extensive training in Yin yoga, Restorative + Hatha Flow. She is also trained in Ashtanga. And completed Qi Gong training.
Her Yin classes embody mindfulness through observation of breath, sensations and energetics. The principles of a Yin yoga practice allow space for dialogue around mindfulness. She often themes classes around the seasons and energetics of the practice.
Sasha’s mindful approach allows space for silence and support students in this throughout both her Yin and Flow classes, inviting them to feel and observe.
Who is this Workshop for?
For all students who need that extra bit of nourishment
