Private yoga sessions are available too, and these can be done in small groups so your group can share the cost.

AKHANDA (HATHA)

Developed by Yogrishi Vishvketu a Himalayan Yogic Master, the name Akhanda means whole, entire, unbroken tradition.

Exploring the many traditional aspects of the Yoga, pranayama, asana, mantra, relaxation and mediations. Classes are themed around the areas of philosophy, mind, body and spirt. One of the key aspects of Akhanda yoga is to work on all the directional movements of the spine.

The classes offer a balance of effort and allowing yin and yang. Classes are a combination of flowing and static poses, planned with a sequence of the most familiar accessible postures and breathing techniques. This ensure the classes can be enjoyed by students of all levels. Akhanda Yoga, our aim is to cultivate a deeper level of awareness. Open to all levels.

AROMA FLOW (+ essential oils)

A mindfully paced Vinyasa Flow practice infused with essential oils to help you stay present and connect deeper to your breath. Using therapeutic grade essential oils you will be guided through a flow sequence to help strengthen and open the body. All levels welcome.

The essential oils used in this session are Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Oils, diluted with coconut oil so they’re safe to apply topically and use aromatically. Please do not ingest the oils and make sure you notify the instructor about any allergies or possible sensitivity. The use of oils in class is absolutely optional, you can still enjoy the yoga practice and abstain from any contact with the oils should you prefer.

ASHTANGA

FOR A STRONG PRACTICE

Ashtanga's result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

ASHTANGA

The Ashtanga Yoga System was first recorded in the ancient manuscript, the Yoga Korunta, by the sage Vamana Rishi.

In the early 1900s its text was passed to Tirumalai Krishnamacharya by his Guru, Rama Mohan Brahmachari, and in turn from Krishnamacharya to his students, among whom were K Pattabhi Jois and BKS Iyengar. Since 1948 the Ashtanga Vinyasa system has been taught at many Shalas in India, most famously the Yoga Shala formed by K Pattabhi Jois.

It involves synchronising breath with a progressive series of posture ~ a process producing intense internal heat purifying and detoxifying muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

You will be lead by our senior Ashtanga teacher through the same sequence of postures that start with sun salutations before moving on to standing postures, seated postures, the finishing sequence and finally relaxation. Open to all levels.

BABY + ME YOGA

A wonderful opportunity to nourish yourself while deepening the bond with your baby.

BABY + ME YOGA

You and baby yoga is a wonderful opportunity to nourish yourself while deepening the bond with your baby. The classes focus on yoga postures specifically designed for the postnatal months helping you to regain strength and tone in your body in a safe and effective way. But dads are also welcome.

The emphasis is on holding space in a relaxed environment where you can regain flexibility, strengthen the pelvic floor, the abdomen, cores muscles, legs and back as well as on opening and relaxing tensions in the shoulders, neck and arms and help fatigue.

Classes are gentle & slow, giving you time to integrate the experiences of your body after birth and to help support your post birth recovery. Classes will cover postures for both you & baby – through gentle stretching & interactive play – as well as provide a safe place with other mums to honour your emotions and the beautiful (sometimes challenging) journey of motherhood.

A balanced practice to both uplift and relax you – a grounding and steadying class to counteract the relentless stresses and demands of London life. The first half of the class is a steady energising flow through asana (postures) and nourishing stretches moving into dhyana (meditation) for the second half. The meditative element of the practice is seated on bolsters or lying down using various techniques of mindful breathing, meditation and visualisation to soothe the senses and bring the mind‘s focus into the heart. A rejuvenating practice to ease you into a state of calm and balance to end the week feeling replenished, restored and clear.

Mandala (Sanskrit: मण्डल Maṇḍala, ‘circle’) is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, which represents wholeness. Join to explore a different type of practice.  This is a fast flowing class.

Yoga Nidra (यग नद्र or yogic sleep) is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage.

Yoga Nidra (यग नद्र or yogic sleep) is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. This state of consciousness (yoga nidra) is different from meditation in which concentration on a single focus is required. In yoga nidra the practitioner remains in a state of light withdrawal of the 5 senses (pratyahara) with four of his or her senses internalised, that is, withdrawn, and only the hearing still connects to the instructions. The yogic goal of both paths, deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation are the same, a state of meditative consciousness called samadhi.

Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. Guided meditation performed in Savasana.

We will hold the postures for a bit longer to create muscle memory with some arm balancing and inversions thrown in to the mix. Prepare to sweat out any worries and have fun on the mat.

This safe and gentle class offers Mum’s to-be an effective full-body workout.
Explore pelvic floor and TVA training, stretching and bodyweight strength work.
A side leg series for strengthening the hips, glutes and outer thighs are entailed as well as a short burst of
arm strengthening exercises.
The class will leave Mums feeling relaxed, strong and lengthened.
Plenty of modifications are given throughout.

Classes are open to practice from 12 weeks+ in your pregnancy.

Rocket, created by Larry Schultz in San Francisco in 1980s, is rooted in Ashtanga Vinyasa. Combing Primary and Advanced series.
